What we believe
We are an evangelical Christian church who work in co-operation with two groups, namely 'The Baptist Union of Great Britain' and 'Churches Together in Surbiton and Tolworth’.We exist to glorify God and to establish a loving community of people who follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. Through worship, prayer, bible study and friendship we seek to grow in understanding God's ways; to experience His love and to respond by serving the community in which we live.
In the Bible we read the last words of Jesus on this earth: ‘Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit; and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age' Matthew 28:19-20.
We believe that this means we are to be a community of people who seek to work out the practical implications of our bible based faith within the larger community in which the Church exists, and show others the true nature of the Christian life through example, and by communicating our beliefs.
